2. You should try to exercise at least 4 to 5 times a week. Small intervals of exercise, like 20 to 30 minutes at a time, work best. You shouldn't try too hard trying to exercise for hours. A half hour on the treadmill, a brisk walk, or a little light cardio should suffice.

3. It is important that you acquire some important habits when following a diet and exercise plan. These habits can be very simple, like replacing your glass of soda with a glass of water. Drink a cup of green tea in the morning instead of that cup of coffee. Refrain from eating at least 3 hours before bed. There are many little habits that you can incorporate into your life that will help you while you are on a diet.

4. Make your exercise routine fun. Diet and fitness don't have to have strict rules. There are some really fun workout routines you can find on your Wii console. Also, they have now come out with many different dance routines to help you get in shape.
